The members' assembly of the Italian health economics association has nominated her for three years

The members' assembly of Associazione Italiana di Economia Sanitaria (AIES), the Italian health economics association, has nominated with an almost unanimous vote Aleksandra Torbica (Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management) as the new secretary general for the next three years.

The association has as its objective the development and diffusion of studies in the field of health economics, to represent a place for academics of health economics to meet and exchange information and to stimulate health administrators and operators and public opinion on the economic aspects of health welfare. The association cooperates with the International Health Economics Association (IHEA) which in 2015 will hold its global congress in Bocconi.

Among her responsibilities Torbica will promote the association's activitiesamong members, will help to publicize scientific news and collaborate with the organization of events and the annual congress. Also, together with the newly elected Executive Committee, Torbica will promote cultural exchanges with similar associations of other countries and will bring her contribution to the development of all other activities linked to study, research and teaching in the field of health economics in Italy.
