Academics for exchange students: Course selection

This page will be updated soon, with information on the course selection for the Fall semester of the AY 2025-2026.

The Course Selection for the Spring semester of the AY 2024-2025 will run from January 9 to January 14, 2025, through the yoU@B student diary at agenda.unibocconi.it Courses will be assigned on a first come-first served basis and no waiting list will be available. To maximize your chances of securing classes, we recommend staying flexible and expanding your pre-approved tentative course list to include backup options, in case you are unable to register for your preferred classes.

Exchange students will also have the possibility to change their study plan during the Add/Drop period scheduled between February 6 and February 13, 2025. After the Add/Drop deadline no changes will be allowed on your study plan.

All courses included in the students' study plans will appear in their Official Bocconi final transcripts.

Since exchange students can choose from courses across all years and Degree programs, class schedule overlaps may occur. Class groups with the same course code may have different schedules and may be assigned a different number of credits.

In case you need assistance in building your study plan, you can contact the Academic Advisors.

STUDY PLAN GUIDELINES

  1. Exchange students are expected to select min. 1 up to max. 5 courses per term.
  2. Undergraduate students can choose only among courses offered at the undergraduate level (identified with code 30xxx). Graduate students are allowed to choose both undergraduate (30xxx) and graduate (20xxx and 50xxx) courses.
  3. Students who wish to take all the exams by the first exam session for exchange students (May 16-31, 2025), have to ensure that the classes they select have no exam time conflicts. The exam schedule is available at the following link www.unibocconi.eu/exams.
  4. If two final exams are scheduled on the same day and time, students can select both courses and sit the exams in different available exam sessions. Bocconi University has multiple exam sessions (Spring semester exam sessions: May and June/July).
  5. Exchange Students are not allowed to add language courses in their study plan.
  6. Students at Bocconi can complete courses as attending or non-attending. Students are not required to specify the attending/non-attending option when selecting their Bocconi courses, since the attending/non-attending status for each course is managed directly between the student and the lecturer after the start of classes. Students who decide to take a course as attending or non-attending need to follow the instructions provided by each course instructor in the course syllabi.
  7. Some courses may have specific restrictions: carefully check the "Suggested background knowledge" section available in the course profile.
  8. IMPORTANT: please take note that some courses may have the same contents/program. For this reason, we strongly suggest that you contact the professor/s in charge of the corresponding courses and verify with them the possibility of attending both classes.
  9. CEMS students are required to select their courses from a CEMS specific list. For further information on CEMS requirements, please refer to cems@unibocconi.it
  10. THEMIS students can find further information about courses approved by the THEMIS network and program requirements on the Themis webpage. For further information on Themis requirements, please refer to themis@unibocconi.it.
