Bocconi4Bookcity - A Plan to Fix a Fractured World
The conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, tensions between the US and China. Inflation that has reached levels that have not been seen for decades and energy prices that have forced some households to choose between gas and groceries. Increasingly frequent natural disasters and global warming caused by climate change. And artificial intelligence that threatens to revolutionize the job market in a way that has not happened since the first industrial revolution. “Permacrisis” seems to be the most apt word to describe the unstable and turbulent world in which we live. Yet, although the prefix “perma” seems to suggest otherwise, this is not a permanent situation. The road out of it is certainly long, but it exists and is a viable one.
