Study allowance/expense reimbursement/adequate subsidy
Do internships provide for any form or reimbursement from the employer?
Reimbursements can be provided and are regulated by the various national or regional laws. In Italy for non-curricular internships, a mandatory benefit is provided for by law, the amount of which is established by individual regional regulations. For curricular internships, offering a financial subsidy is at the discretion of the employer.
(If the host company is located abroad, reimbursement regulations will in any case be agreed upon by the parties in compliance with the requirements of the applicable law.)
Please note that Unpaid internships may be eligible for receiving a grant disbursed by University.
