CONFERENCES: OFFERS FOR THE BOCCONI COMMUNITY




 

 
 

The European Student Assembly (ESA) will take place from 10 - 12 April 2024 at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France.
 

ESA is a grassroots project that gathers each year more than 220 students from the European Universities Alliances (EUAs) to debate current issues, draft policy recommendations on the future of Europe and advocate them among stakeholders and decision-makers.

How it works:

· From Late January to early April 2024, the selected students will work remotely with other members of the same panel to deepen their understanding of their topic (chosen from a pool of 11 different panels).

· From 10 to 12 April 2024: participating students will meet in person in Strasbourg to discuss and finalize their recommendations with members of their panel and present them in a plenary session at the European Parliament.

· After the assembly: students will continue to work in team for the advocacy and dissemination of their proposals. You can find all the details in the Handbook available at this link and on the #ESA24 webpage

How to apply:

· Applications must be submitted at this link no later than 5 November 2023, 23:59.

· selection results will be available starting from 15 January 2024

Applications are open to students from all genders, nationalities, fields and levels of study at Bocconi University.

Participation Costs

Selected students’ travel costs from and to Strasbourg will be covered by Bocconi’s CIVICA funds while meals and accommodation for 3 nights in a youth hostel will be provided by ESA. If selected to participate, please contact civica@unibocconi.it to arrange travel bookings through Bocconi’s travel agency it will NOT be possible to claim any refund ex post.

The European Student Assembly (ESA) brings together each year more than 200 students representing the European University Alliances to debate current issues, draft political recommendations for the future of Europe and advocate them among stakeholders and decision makers. The 2023 edition will culminate with a deliberative Assembly gathering at the European Parliament in Strasbourg from 31 May 2023 to 2 June 2023.

How it works:

· From March to May 2023, the selected students will work remotely with other members of the same panel to deepen their understanding of their topic (chosen from a pool of 10 different panels).

· From 31 May to 2 June 2023: participating students will meet in person in Strasbourg to discuss and finalize their recommendations with members of their panel and present them in a plenary session at the European Parliament.

· From June 2023 onwards: students will continue to work in team for the advocacy and dissemination of their proposals. Please check out the complete and detailed program for further information.

Human Technopole and Treccani Futura present “A Proposito di Futuro”, a festival organized jointly in Milan on Tuesday 15 November 2022.

The event will be held in person, from 10.00 to 17.00, at the Human Technopole Auditorium (viale Rita Levi-Montalcini, 1 – Milan) within the MIND Milano Innovation District.

The agenda includes guests from the world of culture, science and technology, which will hold dialogues about key contemporary themes.

EBS Symposium which is one of the largest, purely student-organized business congresses in Europe. 26-27 March 2021 — Lingnan University, Hong Kong

The theme of the conference is Re-Imagining Postgraduate Studies in the 21st Century and Beyond. The event is organised by the School of Graduate Studies of Lingnan University and supported by the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong.

Students who are interested in participating in the conference as presenters must submit an abstract of about 250 words by 27 February 2021 for consideration. Those who would like to attend the conference without presenting are also welcome.

ICUR is a two-day, 48 hour international and interdisciplinary undergraduate conference. The Conference is hosted by Monash University and the University of Warwick and connects undergraduate researchers in the United States, England, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Spain, Belgium, Slovenia, France and Canada to present their research to a virtual audience from around the world.
