ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Students admitted to IM Global Experience, Finance Global Experience, IM CEMS MIM, or IM Asia — DD Bocconi-Essec must provide a valid English language certificate by 25 July 2025 to confirm their enrollment.

The following online tests are accepted for the IM CEMS MIM program:

  • TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition test: a minimum score of 100 is required in the Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) with a score of at least 20 in each section;
  • TOEFL ITP® Plus for China Solution: a minimum score of 627 is required (Listening 64, Structure and Written 64, Reading 63).

Please note that CEMS does not accept TOEFL MyBest Scores, but results from specific test dates.

  • All applicants must be fluent in two foreign languages in addition to their mother tongue. Please consider that knowledge of a second language (other than English/ mother tongue) will not be compulsory during the application period but will be positively evaluated for selection purposes.
  • For non-English natives, English must be the first foreign language, proved by one of the certificates listed above.

  • Specific language requirements for the University of Sydney Business School: Students doing a term abroad at the University of Sydney Business School may have to present a valid IELTS, CAE, or TOEFL exam when applying for a visa.
